Most movies and TV shows are based on novels or book adaptation. This is very helpful if the viewers loved the film or show they are tempted to read the book. Eastwick is an American television drama comedy series which was written for television by Maggie Friedman. The series is a television adaptation of the famous novel The Witches of Eastwick by John Updike and also the film its film adaptation. Its executive producers are Maggie Friedman together with David Rosenthal and David Nutter. This dramedy show is shown on ABC network and it was produced by Curly Girly in association with Warner Brothers Television. The show is about the lives of three apparently ordinary women who have such unique personalities and have different kinds of lives. The three women are Roxanne “Roxie” Torcolleti portrayed by Rebecca Romijn, Kat Gardener played by Jaime Ray Newman and Joana Frankel portrayed by Lindsay Price who met at a wishing fountain and became friends afterwards. Roxie is a natural artist and a financially challenged single mother. Kat is a frustrated wife and an overworked mother with five children. Joanna is a shy and subdued newspaper reporter. An exciting turn of events came when a mysterious man named Darryl Van Horne played by Paul Gross arrives at the village of Eastwick. Through Van Horne Roxie, Kat and Joanna discovers that they have extraordinary talents and they have hidden magical powers. Upon the new found discoveries of the girls their lives were never been the same again. Included also in this show are stars like Ashley Benson who plays as Mia the daughter of Roxie, Jon Bernthal playing as Raymond which is Kat’s husband, Johann Urb who plays as Will which is the boss of Joanna, Sarah Rue who plays as Penny Roxie’s best friend and Veronica Cartwright playing as Bun Waverly who is the head of Eastwick Historical Society.

Saturday 10th July 2010 will be the day ABC will give Eastwick fans a double dose when it airs the two episodes that had not been aired in the US. The episodes are 11 titled Red Bath and Beyond and episode 13 titled Pampered and Tampered.
Episode 11 is about Roxie’s nightmare in her efforts to get out of Jamie’s murderous games. In the same episode, we also get to see Joanna and Max in a fight for their lives at the Eleanor’s basement floor. For Kat though, it is all different when she cannot manage to keep her head above water. This episode will air on ABC on 10 July from 9pm. The episode will have Jack Huston, Cybill Shepherd and Jason George as guests starring. This episode was written by Wendy Miricle and Kevin Rodney Sullivan directed it.
Episode 13 is about the reunion of Roxie, Joanna and Kat. Life seems to be good for Darryl and Roxie in their love life but suddenly Danny who is supposed to be dead, Roxie’s ex husband, appears again. It is an emotional roller coaster for Roxie and Mia. Kat has suspicions that there is something amiss with Colin’s son, Gene. Joanna on the other hand is struggling to deflect Penny’s suspicions on the murder of Jamie. These are some of the events that will unfold on Saturday 10th July on ABC from 10pm.
